After shooting around 170 weddings in a small place like Bermuda you’d think I’d have seen it all. Well… not quite. First off you would have to meet Emily and Tom to appreciate that not just any couple or family would be capable of taking on their amazing wedding plans.
Tom and his family have a long history with Pompano Beach Club and so that was the obvious ‘Home Base’ for all things wedding although it was not large enough to accommodate their full reception which sent them in search of another reception Venue. That venue turned out to be the stunning Cambridge Beaches Resort, meanwhile Emily fell in love with the Unfinished Church for their ceremony. All of these venues are not exactly located very close to each other and with over 170 guests to move around there proved to be some logistical challenges! That didn’t stop this amazing duo though, with some hard work and persistance they pulled off a perfect wedding and in addition their guests were treated to a wonderful tour of the island.
The plan was to start at Pompano for getting ready and a first look. The guests would board several large charter busses headed for the Unfinished Church while Emily and the ladies travelled in style. Donna Lindo was the perfect day of planner and was working behind the scenes the whole time ensuring everything ran smoothly. After a beautiful ceremony in the Unfinished Church it was time to head off for a relaxing tour along the North Shore of the island via the Lady Tamara enjoying some cocktail time before arriving for the reception at Cambridge Beaches. All of this was made even more complicated by the series of small showers that occasionally rolled in!
Long story short, it was a beautiful and unique wedding that I was so honoured to have been a part of. Emily and Tom, congratulations and I wish you all the best, it was so great getting to know you and your wonderful families over the last year that we worked together!
